About Us
Watlands Management Company Ltd is a shareholder company made up of residents who own properties on Portland Mews. Unlike many apartment complexes where the service charge is paid to an external management company, the residents on Portland Mews manage and maintain the site themselves and choose how the service charge is spent.
We believe maintaining the site at a local level installs an element of ownership by the residents which is reflected in the high standard the site is maintained.

Residents Meetings
The Management Company arrange and facilitate a residents meeting every 12 months. This gives residents the opportunity to meet their neighbours, raise concerns and discuss any management decisions.
How to improve your digital TV signal on Portland Mews
The digital television aerials fitted to Blocks B, C, D & E on Portland Mews point to the Sutton Coldfield transmitter which is the most powerful transmitter in the area.
The Fenton transmitter is repeater transmitter and sited only a few miles away, the two transmitters can sometimes cause a conflict, the result is reduced signal quality.
To obtain the best signal, follow the following instructions:
1. Remove the input aerial cable from the back of the digital box.
2.Go to ‘Auto Tune’ in the settings feature and retune the box with the aerial cable still out the
back.
3. Replace the aerial cable whilst it is auto tuning, but only when it passes channel 29 and
before it gets to channel 39.
This action will bypass the Fenton transmitter which transmits on lower channels and pick up the signal from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter, which transmits on channels 39, 42, 43, 45, & 46.
